The penultimate race weekend of the DTM season at the Red Bull Ring (AUT) may not have gone according to plan for Sheldon van der Linde (RSA), but he was able to stay in the overall lead nonetheless. The South African driver missed out on the points in both races, finishing eleventh twice, but still leads by eleven in the drivers’ championship ahead of the season finale in Hockenheim (GER) in two weeks. Barcelona. After three consecutive podium weekends, the eighth round of the FIM Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK) at Barcelona (ESP) proved to be more difficult for BMW Motorrad Motorsport. The most consistent BMW rider was Loris Baz (FRA) from the Bonovo action BMW Racing Team. In the three races, he secured one eleventh-place and two ninth-place finishes with his BMW M 1000 RR.
