2018 Ride to the Ranch

Well, it is that time of year, Spring is here (at least in Florida). The 5th “Ride to the Ranch: sponsored by the First Coast Chapter BMW CCA will be here soon. The 19th of May to be exact. I know it is a long drive for the members, but we would enjoy having as many of you attend as possible. One thing to know is that this is a no-cost event. The cost is being shared by the Florida BMW CCA Chapters.
Since the event is on Saturday, everyone is welcome to come down on Friday if that would work better for you. There are hotels nearby in Lady Lake, The Villages, Leesburg, and Belleview. If you want to be “adventurous”, you are welcome to camp out for the weekend. With 500 acres we have plenty of space to do so.
2013 – The first Ride to the Ranch
Below are the specifics regarding the cookout.
Registration:

Time:
All Day Saturday, come early and stay as long as you like. Lunch will be served around 1:00 to 1:30 PM.
Events at the Cookout:
A scenic drive in the area for those who want see the sights around the area. A map will be provided.
A Poker Run of around 45 minutes to an hour in length beginning at the ranch and ending back at the ranch. Buy in will be $10.00 per participant with 50% going to the winner and 50% to the Ronald McDonald House.
A “Favorites” Concours where everyone votes for their favorite three cars and there will be awards for the top two cars. This event will be hosted by the Florida Suncoast Chapter,
A tour of the “Carriage Museum” located just down the road from the ranch. This one is still up-in-the-air as I need to meet with the owners this coming weekend.

Iced Tea (Sweet & Unsweet) and lemonade
(NOTE: If you want to drink something other than tea or lemonade, please bring your own. We are requesting that anyone attending bring an appetizer or a dessert to share. It would be appreciated.)

(NOTE: You can use the following address on Google Maps to get directions: 5110 Valley Oak St, Weirsdale, FL 32195. At least that is what my GPS reports and will get you in the get you in the general area. There will be signs on the roads nearby directing you to the ranch.)
